I encourage my clients to bring in fabrics for their fine art maternity portrait sessions that they find beautiful to make their session extra special and personal. Here are some of my recent favorites both with gorgeous fabrics from india...
We had a great turn out for the Doumitt 2009 Model Search, and the sessions with the 10 to 20 year old teen models have now begun at our ultra cool urban location featuring grafitti, industrial elements and distressed backgrounds - all shot with natural light. With an urban skater / indie hip hop theme, here are a couple of pics from our first session yesterday - though I still have hundreds of images to develop...more to come...
Had a fun toddler portrait session with Kate exploring some newly found urban locations close to the studio. Here is a funky little video of some of the images...

I love location sessions with toddlers! Not only is natural light photography of children a fantastic way to capture their spirit, it also allows for movement, play and exploration. I recently had a very fun toddler photography session with Abigail at Golden Gate Park in San Francisco. We played in the ferns and found some blowing flowers along the way - here are some of my favorites of Abigail and the blowing flower...
Maybe it is a trend, or maybe I am just lucky to be getting quite a few couples in the studio that have almost a foot and half separating them in height, with the guys around 6 ft 8 and the girls around 5 foot 3. This can make for quite a challenge posing the couple - but I try not to dwell on this pondering the potential challenge of birthing for the small woman. I find creative ways to minimize the height difference in the portraits - knowing that this couple likely has few flattering photos of the two of them taken by non-professionals.
