Happy Halloween!

Thanks to all who participated in our first annual Halloween Portrait Day at Anna Myers Studio to raise money for Operation Smile! It was sooooo fun seeing all of the babies in their crazy costumes!  Here are a couple of quick favorites...

Valeria portrait session at UC Botanical Garden - Celebrating One Year

Alida wanted to do a very special family portrait for Valeria's first birthday.  Valeria is a very special baby and they wanted to celebrate one year of life.  Alida had some complications during her pregnancy that led to a very stressful time and worry for both her and the baby's health.  The doctors were not hopeful - but the reality was that everything went as well as could be expected, and now everyone is 100% healthy and thriving. Valeria is the light of her family life - including her grandmother and her aunt and uncle.  The family was included at this one year family portrait session in the very beautiful UC Botanical Garden which makes a great setting for a walking baby girl.  Here are some of my favorites from the session...

  

Modern, Fine Art Maternity Photography - Tattoos & Tummies

I have had several pregnancy portrait sessions lately with fabulous tattoos ~  in these cases they were all on the men, but it still makes for an interesting twist to create artistic, modern maternity photography. Here are some of my favorite "tattoos and tummies" shots of late...(faces cropped to protect the identity of those too sexy for their shirt ;)

Studio Day is Saturday November 15th - Special Benefit for Toys for Tots!

Before the holidays get too busy, come in to the studio for a quick, fun session. 

 

Join us for our Second Annual Studio Day for Toys for Tots on Saturday, November 15th!

This year we will do a white background in the morning and a black background in the afternoon.  So, bring your colorful clothes and ideas and we will put together some unique portraits for holiday cards and gifts. In place of a session fee we will be collecting new toys for Toys for Tots. Please bring in a new toy valued at $25 (unwrapped).

 

The session will be 20 minutes long - only one session per client - scheduled between 9am and 11:30am for the white background, and 12:30pm to 3pm for the black background.  Once you have scheduled an appointment you will receive an email regarding clothing suggestions. Each session also includes a one hour consultation 10 to 14 days later with Anna to view your options and place your order in the studio. To sign-up please email or call the studio (510-748-8959) Monday through Friday and ask for Nicole. These appointments go FAST - so best get on it ;D

High Fashion Diva - Fierce

So my daughter Sula loves to be photographed and is always coming up with new make-up and hair looks that she wants me to capture.  When I have time we love to play around in the studio - like yesterday. She wanted a fierce look with teased hair and dark eyes. She is a wizard with her make-up and hair - here is one of both of our favorites from the session with the smoky, fierce, high-fashion look.  For those "Top Model" viewers out there - one of Sula's signatures is her hands. Very "Top Model", n'est pas?

Sophie and Buckley - best friends

One of my Oh Baby! Club babes, Sophie, came in for 11 month portraits with her best friend - her dog Buckley.  They were adorable together!  Buckley is very active and full of energy - being a Jack Russell Terrier - but dog treats worked wonders to keep him close to Sophie! Halloween Portraits with Anna Myers - Making a Difference with Operation Smile

This year we have something special for Halloween - professional Halloween studio  portraits!  Every October we work to raise money for the wonderful organization, Operation Smile (www.operationsmile.org), and this year we will be doing a Open House Fund raising event at the studio on Friday, October 31st from 10am to 3pm.  Bring your baby, pet, family and friends to the studio for your halloween portrait in costume - no need to sign up, just show up between 10am and 3pm.  Details are in the flyer for the event (click on the image to view it bigger):
