Photographing someone who is one and a half feet taller than me is not something I do everyday, but on occasion it is all in a days work. A few weeks ago I met NBA Basketball Player, Ronny Turiaf who plays for the Golden State Warriors, to capture some casual shots at his home for his website. Ronny Turiaf is originally from Martinique - which is unusual for basketball players. He has a reputation for having a big personality and a big heart. After spending several hours with him I can tell you that the stories are all true. This guy is the real deal - intelligent, funny and very engaging. Passionate about helping the community, Ronny created the Heart to Heart Foundation, which is based on his own experience as a young athlete with heart issues, to provide health services including EKG’s, heart surgeries and defibrillators to children and schools in need. Ronny is also absolutely in love with his beautiful, playful pit bull, Nina. As a dog lover myself, Ronny's attachment to Nina was very sweet to capture. I encourage you to get to know this guy which is quite easy through his videos, blogs and websites. Though I only spent a short time with him, I must say that I am now a fan for life.
